UPDATE: Suspect from Tuesday night's fatal shooting in custody

After a search, the suspect in a fatal shooting at the intersection of Highway 80 and Burkhalter Road, Jerry Thomas Pritchard, 26, has been located and arrested without incident, the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office reported at 12:46 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Bulloch County Sheriff's deputies had been investigating the shooting at PoJo's on Highway 80 and Burkhalter Road Tuesday night. A victim was killed and deputies began seeking a suspect, identified as Pritchard.  

He was reported as leaving the scene of the shooting in a silver 4-door Kia Sorrento with North Carolina plates.

According to the BCSO, the victim was a male and the incident was a result of an ongoing dispute. An off-duty officer gave the victim CPR at the scene, but the victim succumbed to his injuries.

Bulloch County Sheriff's Capt. Todd Hutchens said no further details are available as the case is still actively being investigated.
