Two drivers killed in weekend accidents

            Two drivers were killed over the weekend in separate single-vehicle accidents, according to Georgia State Patrol reports.

            Friday, around 3 p.m., GSP Troopers received a call about an accident on U.S. 301 North near Mill Creek Road. Responding troopers found Annie Jenkins, 60, Sylvan Heights Drive, Sylvania, dead at the scene, according to reports.

            Jenkins, driving a 2003 Kia Sorrento, was negotiating a curve near a bridge when she ran off the roadway, over corrected, and struck an embankment. Her vehicle overturned twice, and she was ejected.

            According to reports, EMS responded but did not transport Jenkins, who had not been wearing a seat belt.

            Saturday  morning, a Thomasville man lost control of his motorcycle while passing another vehicle and crashed. He died in the accident.

            Robert Brogan III, 40, East Monroe Street, Thomasville, was traveling on U.S. 301 South near Beasley Farms Road in Evans County around 7:19 p.m. when he passed another vehicle, lost control on a  curve and left the roadway, according to reports. His motorcycle overturned several times.

            Bogan was taken to Evans County Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, reports stated.
