A man suffered two broken front teeth, a swollen eye and cuts to his forehead in a physical battle Wednesday evening that ended with his arrest as well as that of the woman who attacked him with a knife.
Statesboro Police charged Jeffrey Page Cobb, 34, Inman Lane, with battery (domestic violence), but because Wamikea Lafawn Mikell, also 34, of Inman Lane, used a knife in the scuffle, officers charged her with aggravated assault (domestic violence), according to police incident reports.
Mikell suffered a cut on her foot, a swollen hand and swollen eye, reports stated.
Officers arrived at the Inman Lane home Wednesday evening after someone reported the altercation, and spoke with Mikell. They found Cobb at a West Jones Avenue residence and questioned him as well, but each party had “ conflicting stories,” reports stated.
Cobb was transported by Bulloch County EMS to East Georgia Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, then was taken to the Bulloch County Jail.
Mikell was arrested at the scene and taken to the jail. Both were held Thursday evening without bond, according to jail records.
Reports did not list reasons why Mikell and Cobb were fighting.
