On Friday, the Statesboro-Bulloch County Parks and Recreation Department will host its annual Trick or Treat at Mill Creek Park.

Festivities will get underway at 5 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. Trick or Treat at Mill Creek Park offers a family-friendly Halloween atmosphere to celebrate the fall season. The event will have a large candy trail, games, a hay ride, inflatables, horseback rides and more.

More than 50 local businesses and organizations will be part of the large candy trail giving out goodies and/or providing games and activities.

“We appreciate these businesses and our sponsors for helping us provide such a fun, safe, event for our citizens,” Event Coordinator Kimberly Sharpe said.

For this event, there is no parking allowed on Beasley Road or at Mill Creek Elementary. Plenty of parking is available inside Mill Creek Park.

“While we hope for great weather, we do have several options for a contingency plan,” Sharpe said.

As of press time, there was a decent chance of rain on Friday, coupled along with low temperatures.

“If we have to move from Mill Creek Park due to inclement weather,” Sharpe said, “we ask that you please check our website, our social media pages, or call (912) 764-5637 for the new plan.”

Trick or Treat at Mill Creek is sponsored by Coca-Cola, Kiwanis Club of Statesboro, Northland Cable, WingMaxx, Statesboro Golf Carts, Crazy Nick’s Inflatables, and Chick-fil-A.
