Task force nets 15 in drug sweep

      The Tri-Circuit Drug Task Force rounded up more than a dozen drug offenders last week as they conducted "Operation Spring Cleaning," said Commander Chuck Sullenger.
       The arrests followed a 14-month long investigation, he said.
       The investigation was the result of "cold undercover work," after agents observed drug activity on the streets of Statesboro and Bulloch County, he said.
       As a result of Operation Spring Cleaning, the following were arrested: Earl M. Canty, 55, Proctor Street - sale of cocaine; Guyce Frank Pike, 67, Institute Street - sale of cocaine, sale of marijuana; Vanity Miracle Jones, 22, Morris Road, Portal - sale of cocaine; James Calvin Cody Speight, 41, Chance's Mobile Home Park - sale of cocaine, sale or possession of dangerous drugs.
      Also, Lajada Jasmina Hill, 23, Morris Street, Portal - sale of marijuana; Doy Love Jr., 49, Burkhalter Road - sale of cocaine; Christopher Robert Jaynes Sr., 28, The Groves Apartments - sale of marijuana, unlawful use of communication facilities; Willie Albert Smith Jr., 51, Packinghouse Road - sale of cocaine.
      Also, Blistz Marquie Williams, 32, Buck Creek Church Road - sale of cocaine; Preston Andrew Mull, 18, Apple Orchard Lane, Snellville - sale of marijuana; Tavance Desmeion Taylor, 18, James Street - sale of marijuana; Joseph Ellrod Jackson, 36, Holloway Lane, Register - child support lockup; Benjamin Andrew Jones, 18, Chesterfield Drive, Lawrenceville - sale of marijuana.
      Also, Lorenzo McMillan, 24, Pine Street - sale of cocaine, probation violation; Jimmie Lee Mikell Jr., 29, Clifton Road - sale of marijuana; Bradley Javon Edwards, 21, Rucker Lane - sale of marijuana; and Michael Antonio McMillan, 22, Pine Street - sale of marijuana, possession or sale of dangerous drugs.
      Sullenger said the investigation was aided by members of the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office, Statesboro Police, Georgia   Southern University Police, Georgia State Patrol and Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
       Sullenger is also sssistant special agent in charge of the Statesboro GBI office.
