A woman was arrested after officers investigated the possible sale of narcotics from her apartment, according to the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators with the Statesboro-Bulloch Crime Suppression Team served a search warrant Wednesday for an apartment in The Grove on Brampton Avenue after an investigation into sales of narcotics there, according to a news release issued Thursday.

Various types of drugs were found in the apartment and the tenant, Joniqua Kiara Ragland, 21, was arrested, the release says.

Ragland was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a schedule II controlled substance (hydrocodone) and possession of a schedule IV controlled substance (Xanax).

She was taken to the Bulloch County Jail, where she remains pending further judicial action, according to the sheriff's office.
