Charges have been filed against a man police say shot and killed a man at Morris Heights Apartments Wednesday. According to Bulloch County Jail records, James Leslie Ward, 33, Oak Hollow Drive, was charged Thursday with murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and theft by receiving stolen property. Statesboro Public Safety Director Wendell Turner said Thursday in a press release that Ward shot and killed Gabriel Henderson, 38, of Denmark Street.
