A Statesboro man who aggressively taunted deputies to shoot him gave a new deputy quite a challenge on his first day of field training Monday. Bulloch County Sheriff's Deputy Clint Campbell was fresh out of the police academy, riding with Cpl. Bob Dinello, when they encountered Jean Zagre on Hwy. 67 driving recklessly around 5:34 p.m., said Bulloch County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Jared Akins. A dispatch from Bulloch County 911 said Zagre's Nissan Murano had been involved in a traffic collision on Hwy. 67 before leaving the scene, he said.
