Statesboro-Bulloch Crime Suppression Team investigators rounded up 23 suspects within the past month as part of an effort to reduce drug activity in the area. The CST, made up of Bulloch County sheriff's deputies, Statesboro police officers and Georgia Southern University police officers, "conducted a series of operations aimed at reducing drug activity in certain areas ... prior to the beginning of fall semester at Georgia Southern University," Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson said in a news release issued Monday. "These operations consisted of a combination of concentrated patrols in high-intensity drug areas, the use of confidential informants, undercover purchases of narcotics, and the service of several search warrants," he said.
