In response to the restaurant owners saying they're lookin' forward to alcohol sales on Sunday because until now ... Sunday's been a throw-away day for them. ... I don't think the absence of alcohol has been your problem. ... I think it's because you have throw-away food. ... There are restaurants in town that have never served a drop of alcohol ... and people are lined up to get in them on Sundays. ... Maybe these places that have had throw-away Sundays should either rethink their menus ... or get out of the restaurant business.

I just wanted to know. There were three sheriff cars in my neighborhood ... about three weeks ago. ... I ... just wanted to know what ... what's goin' on. Yeah, I'm ... I'm nosy. ... I wanna know what's goin' on in my neighborhood and why come it wasn't in the Police Report. ... They're my neighbors and I would really like to know ... what was goin' on. ... But it's never ... nuthin been in there about it. ... Strange.

Someone said there are never good things mentioned in Soundoff. I'm gonna list four random good things about our area. ... The first is the Farmer's Market. It's a lot of fun and ... people do a good job with that. ... Same with the Willie McNell Trail. It's a good idea and it was well-executed. ... Three, the new traffic lights that show you how much time's left before they change. ... These are helpful for drivers and pedestrians both. ... And four ... the county recycling centers. If you've been to another county lately that has the old Dumpsters® ... you'll appreciate ours more if you do.
