Bulloch County Chief Deputy Jared Akins said investigators are seeking answers regarding a reported rape Sunday. Just after midnight Sunday, staff members at East Georgia Regional Medical Center notified sheriff’s Investigator Jason Long of a patient seeking medical attention after a reported rape incident at a Rebekah Road location, he said. The woman is familiar with the offender, Akins said.
