A Plantation Villas woman called Bulloch County Sheriff’s deputies around 4 a.m. Saturday to report being robbed at gunpoint in a home invasion.
Bulloch County Sheriff Lynn Anderson said three “masked and armed individuals” broke into the woman’s home at the U.S. 80 East mobile home park, forced their way into the victims’ bedroom, and held her and a man at gunpoint.
The victim said the intruders kicked the front door in to enter her home, according to reports.
The suspects, who could not be identified due to their faces being covered, took an undisclosed amount of cash from the home before leaving, he said.
No one was injured in the invasion.
At Herald press time Monday, it was unknown whether the offenders left in a vehicle or on foot.
“An extensive search of the area failed to locate the suspects,” he said. “Anyone with information about this incident should contact Inv. Walter Deal of the Bulloch Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division at 764-8888.”
