SYLVANIA - A 30-year tradition continues with the annual Sylvania Junior Woman's Club Arts and Crafts Sampler and family fun on Saturday, Sept. 18.
This year, the Sylvania Sampler will be held on the lawn of the Screven County Courthouse on Mims Road from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Sharon Blank, Arts Committee chair for the club, said the sampler will include entertainment, food, a photography contest, a dog show, a free health fair, children's finger painting, and many artists and crafters selling their work. All are welcome and admission is free, she said.
The Sylvania Sampler Pageant is set for today at 6 p.m. in the auditorium at Screven County High School on Halcyondale Road. Girls of all ages are participating, where someone will be crowned and named this year's Miss Sampler.
