Screven deputies arrest brothers after incident

SYLVANIA - Screven County deputies said a man arrested outside Oliver resisted at every point of command, ending in a tasing inside the jail after the deputies said offender grabbed a deputy's hand in an attempt to injure him. During a meeting between Officer Chris Crockett, Inv. Michael Duncan, and Deputy Jake Saxon at Clark's convenient store on Oliver Highway, Saxon said they noticed a white GMC truck pull up to the gas pump and a black man later identified as Jerry Black of Newington exit the passenger side door.
