CLAXTON - Through the efforts of the Evans County School System to improve student achievement and implement the Elementary and Secondary Assistance Act of 1965, Claxton High School now offers Supplemental Educational Services to all eligible students. That is, parents or legal guardians of students who qualify for free or reduced price meals now also may request free tutoring services for their children. A list of state approved tutors was compiled and distributed by the Georgia Department of Education.
