CLAXTON - Claxton High School alumni are invited to reconnect to their alma mater by participating in the school's annual Homecoming celebration.
Claxton High School students will celebrate next Friday's homecoming game all week long. Hollywood theater prompted the theme "Now Showing: A Tiger Victory," chosen by the students to inspire a win for the Claxton Tigers in their game against the Calvary Cavaliers.
Students will participate in movie-inspired dress up days throughout the week.
The homecoming pep rally will be held on Friday from 12-12:55 p.m., followed by the homecoming parade at 3 p.m., where the community is welcome to help promote Tiger Pride, Principal Daryl Fineran said.
The parade route will proceed down Liberty Street to Highway 301, then down MLK Boulevard, he said.
Anyone interested in entering a float is called to creativity, as the "director" of your float. For an application to enter a float or march in the parade, contact Stacy Dees at (912) 739-3993. The deadline for applications is Monday.
All Tiger fans are also invited to come out for the game at 7:30 p.m. at Pecan Grove.
