SYLVANIA - A domestic dispute sent a Sylvania man to the hospital Saturday, after he was literally stabbed in the back.
The victim reported he and his common-law wife of 11 years, Keyanna Maria Tanksley, were involved in a physical altercation, when he felt a sharp, pointed object stabbed into his back.
Further investigation revealed that Tanksley's cousin, Brenda Delores Hurst was the one who stabbed him using a knife, said reporting deputy Marcus Hartwell.
The investigation also revealed that Tanksley caused several small lacerations to the victim's face by throwing a glassware pot that broke near his face, said Hartwell.
Both Tanksley and Hurst were arrested and transported to county jail.
Tanksley, 19, Friendship Road was charged with battery-family violence, and Hurst, 43, North Elm Street was charged with aggravated assault.
The case was turned over to Sgt. Brett Dickerson for prosecution.
