Georgia State Patrol troopers investigated a reported crash Tuesday morning that turned out to be a suspected attempt at insurance fraud. GSP Trooper 1st Class Robbie Scott was dispatched to the Cypress Lake spillway on Cypress Lake Road to a reported vehicle in the water. The driver, whose identity is being withheld because no charges have been filed, told Scott that he ran off the road but had jumped from his 2006 Ford F350 truck before it hit the water.
