A Portal-area man was killed Saturday morning in a two-car accident on Georgia Highway 119.

Roger Raemon Eason, 37, of Harvey Wilson Road, was killed when his 2009 Kia Rio struck an oncoming car head-on, according to a Georgia State Patrol Post 45 report.

Eason was driving south when he approached a 2013 Ford Super Duty truck heading north, the report states.
Eason's vehicle crossed the center line and struck the truck, driven by David Warren Jaynes, 51, of Huggins Crossing Road, according to the report.

Eason was pronounced dead at the scene. Jaynes and his 11-year-old son were transported — Jaynes to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah by helicopter, and the juvenile by EMS to East Georgia Regional Medical Center, the report states.

Further details regarding their injuries were not immediately available Monday.
