A Statesboro woman remains behind bars without bond after stabbing her boyfriend in the back with a steak knife Saturday, police said.
Linda Michelle Sello, 43, South Zetterower Avenue, is charged with aggravated assault with a knife, according to incident  reports.
Statesboro Police officers responded Saturday around 5:22p.m. to Sello’s home, where she apparently took a steak knife during a domestic disturbance and stabbed her 49-year-old boyfriend in the back.
After responding to the scene, Bulloch County EMS transported the victim to East Georgia Regional Medical Center, where he was treated and later released, reports stated.
Police reports indicate alcohol was a factor in the domestic disturbance.
The victim’s injuries were “not life threatening,” but serious, said Statesboro Police Capt. Scott Brunson.
Sello was taken into custody and booked into the Bulloch County Jail, where she remains without bond awaiting further court procedures, jail records show.
