Statesboro police continue to investigate an armed robbery as well as possible other crimes connected to the incident that occurred around 10 p.m. Wednesday night at Cambridge-at-Southern/The Palms Apartments near Georgia Southern University. An initial Nixle alert (a notice sent by text to subscribers) warned residents police were seeking a black male, standing between 5’7” and 5’11”, weighing around 150 to 170 pounds, wearing an orange bandanna, brown shorts, a long-sleeved black shirt and having a “low haircut,” suspected in an armed robbery at the apartments. A second Nixle alert followed, stating police were seeking about five black males, all wearing black clothing and red bandannas.
