▲ Robert David Deal, 43, Foster Williams Road, Register — misdemeanor obstruction of officers, possession of marijuana (less than 1 ounce), possession and use of drug-related objects.

▲ Stacey Jones Taylor, 45, Jordan Drive — misdemeanor theft by taking, misdemeanor bench warrant.

▲ William Brandon Benton, 19, Country Club Road — possession of marijuana (less than 1 ounce), misdemeanor tampering with evidence.

➤ Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office

▲ KENNEDY POND ROAD — After someone called asking the sheriff’s department to check on the wellbeing of a resident, a deputy found a man at that location who was the subject of a probation warrant. Making the arrest, the deputy reported finding methamphetamine on the man, so a narcotics possession charge was added.

▲ RIVERVIEW ROAD — A theft was reported, but the available incident summary does not indicate what was stolen.  After investigating the theft, an officer arrested a woman on a charge of theft by taking. 


➤ Statesboro Police Department

▲ WEST GRADY STREET — Lightning knocked out phone and internet service and computer recordkeeping at the SPD headquarters Thursday afternoon. Service was restored around midnight. However, the database available through the department’s website, which appeared to be working Friday morning, turned up blank pages in response to searches for recent incidents Friday afternoon, so no further reports were available.

▲ Officers issued three traffic citations and one traffic warning and assisted two motorists.

▲ TILLMAN ROAD — A wanted person was arrested Wednesday.

▲ FOREST DRIVE — Someone reported a suspicious person or suspicious activity Thursday.

▲ SOUTHERN DRIVE — Property damage was reported.

▲ AGENCY ASSISTS — GSU police assisted the Statesboro Police Department on Lanier Drive Thursday night and at University Place early Friday.
