▲ Marquita Denise Randall, 33, South Womack Road, Portal — probation violation.


➤ Candler County Sheriff’s Office

▲ Mario Adrian Morales, 34, Cobbtown — suspended license, DUI, wanted person (felony), seat belt violation.

▲ Christopher Blake Johnson, 25, Register — suspended license, possession of imitation controlled substances with intent to distribute, possession/use of drug-related objects, seat belt violation.

▲ Daniel Lee Smith Jr., 62, Metter — suspended license.

▲ GRIFFIN FERRY ROAD — Deputies responded to a call about someone firing a gun while intoxicated. 

▲ WATSON ROAD — Someone reported a theft.

▲ HIGHWAY 129 — Someone reported harassing phone calls and criminal trespass.


➤ Register Police Department

▲ Officers issued the following citations last week:  one for expired tag; six for speeding; five for stop sign violations; one for defective equipment and one for seatbelt violation.


➤ Metter Police Department

▲ BAY STREET — Someone reported a person uttered terroristic threats.

▲ FIRESIDE INN — Someone reported a burglary (second degree) incident, and officers also investigated a first-degree burglary incident at the listed location.

▲ JILL STREET — Officers investigated a burglary.

▲ CHANDLER LANE — Someone reported a stolen vehicle.

▲ MLK BOULEVARD — Someone reported tax fraud.

▲ McDONALD’S — Someone reported a purse was stolen.

▲ DAUGHTRY STREET — Officers investigated a reported theft.

▲ DANIEL STREET — Someone reported a disturbance, involving entering auto and criminal trespass.

➤ Bulloch County Animal Shelter

▲ Surrendered by citizens — seven adult dogs, 10 puppies, four adult cats and 14 kittens from rural areas; no dogs or cats from City of Statesboro.

▲ Collected by humane officers — seven dogs and seven cats from rural areas; one dog and no cats from City of Statesboro.

▲ Adopted from shelter — two adult dogs, a puppy, two kittens.

▲ Taken in by rescue organizations — two adult dogs, 10 puppies and no cats or kittens.

▲ Reclaimed by owners — one dog.

▲ Died at shelter — a dog and two puppies (born dead).

▲ Euthanized — seven dogs (three owner surrender due to being aggressive, three with severe aggression and one surrender due to bite case) and 21 cats and kittens (feral/upper respiratory infection).
