A Brooklet man struck another man with his car, then assaulted his own wife Saturday morning, police said.
Clinton Lee Jackson, 42, of Old Flat Ford Road, was jailed on charges of aggravated assault, battery and obstructing emergency phone calls, according to Bulloch County sheriff’s incident reports.
Deputies were dispatched to a Clifton Road home Saturday morning, where they spoke with a man who suffered a cut to his leg after being struck by Jackson’s white 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer, reports state.
Deputies questioned Jackson’s wife, who said she was in the vehicle when Jackson intentionally struck the man with the vehicle during a dispute, according to reports.
She said Jackson pushed her backward in the vehicle and struck her in the face. Later, he pushed her down on a couch and choked her, which caused visible bruising. When she tried dialing 911, he grabbed her phone and threw it, reports state.
Deputies took Jackson into custody and transported him to the jail, where he later posted bond. He faces further court hearings.
