Statesboro Police are investigating a reported rape that occurred April 3, said Statesboro Police Capt. Scott Brunson.
The female victim did not report the incident until Monday, April 6, according to reports.
The incident, listed in reports as a reported rape and aggravated sodomy, took place at a Rogers Court residence between 1:30 and 2 a.m., reports said.
Brunson said the victim knew her attacker.
The case was assigned to Statesboro Police Det. Keith Holloway, who is currently investigating the incident, he said. Brunson did not disclose additional details, citing the case’s status as “ongoing,” but said the offender did not force his way into the residence and the victim was not injured.
