Statesboro City Council’s second regular meeting of November, originally scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, has been cancelled.
In an email Thursday, City Clerk Sue Starling cited a lack of agenda items as the reason for the cancellation.
The council’s next regular meeting will be held at 9 a.m. Dec. 5.
In 2016 and 2015, the council held two meetings in November but only one regular meeting in December.
“As of now there will not be a second meeting in December,” Starling responded when asked about this Monday.
So, with the city in transition from Mayor Jan Moore to Mayor-elect Jonathan McCollar, the Dec. 5 meeting could be the last until January and the last regular meeting of Moore’s term.
