New ownership to hold grand opening for Statesboro Powersports
Statesboro Powersports

Statesboro Powersports is a one-stop-shop for motorsports, specializing in motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-side UTVs, personal watercraft, trailers and more. Recently acquired by a new owner, Statesboro Powersports will hold a two-event celebration during the last weekend of October.

Josh Rogers purchased Statesboro Powersports in March 2018, but has been in business in Statesboro for 22 years. He said he loves serving the Statesboro community and has seen growth with Statesboro Powersports, which sells motorsports vehicles from Can-Am, Polaris, Suzuki, Sea-Doo and Roxor.

The ribbon cutting will take place on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at 22681 Highway 80 East.

The grand opening celebration will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the same location as the ribbon cutting. Guests can enjoy live music from historically loved local band the Swingin’ Medallions, games, giveaways, test rides and more.

Statesboro Powersports will be hosting “Fill the Buggy” during the grand opening event in an effort to collect pet supplies to donate to Fixing the Boro. Monetary donations will also be accepted. There will be items marked at only $1 in which proceeds will also go to Fixing the

Boro, as well.

Both events are family-friendly. The grand opening will have bounce houses for children as well as free food for everyone.
