A Metter man was injured Tuesday when the tractor-trailer rig he was driving struck a train.
According to Georgia State Patrol reports, Wayne Barnard, 64, was traveling north on Georgia Highway 21 in Millen around 2:25 p.m. and hit the Norfolk Southern train that was crossing the highway.
Barnard was transported to Optim Medical Center - Jenkins in Millen for treatment. There were no other reported injuries.
The accident report was incomplete Wednesday and charges had not yet been filed, according to a GSP Post 21 spokesperson.
