Bulloch County Board of Education District 5 incumbent Vernon Littles is challenged by newcomer Glennera Martin in the upcoming election for the school board seat, but both of them are on the same page when it comes to focusing on children's needs within the school system. Martin has 33 years in education-related experience behind her belt, and said she began her career by teaching for a short period of time at an elementary school near Nevils called Mary Jackson's Elementary School. Most of her career was in Burke County, where she worked as curriculum special education director, staff development coordinator and in other roles, she said.
