A Portal man remained in jail Tuesday after he tried to run over his girlfriend with a vehicle on Saturday, according to the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office. At 12:30 p.m. Saturday, patrol deputies responded to the 3000 block of Two Chop Road for a domestic dispute, Sheriff Lynn Anderson said in a news release issued Tuesday. On arrival, deputies met with a woman who told them her boyfriend, Keith Lamar Coney, 41, of Willow Hill Road in Portal, had thrown a concrete block through the window of her vehicle and tried to run her over, Anderson said.
