A man who had been under investigation since being accused of child molestation over a year ago was arrested on Tuesday. Statesboro police Sgt. Jake Saxon said that a 7-year-old girl told police on Aug. 1, 2015, that Jerry Prescott, 38, of Mikell Street, “touched her inappropriately.” The child was “unrelated to Prescott but lived in the home,” he said.
