A Brooklet man was charged last week with vehicular homicide more than a year after an Evans County accident that took the lives of two Swainsboro residents. Daniel Edward Hodges, 36, of U.S. Highway 80 in Brooklet, was charged April 8 with vehicular homicide after a months-long investigation by the Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team, Sgt. Bert Clifton with Georgia State Patrol Post 45 in Statesboro said Thursday. On Feb. 26, 2013, around 11:26 p.m., Hodges was traveling on Georgia Highway 169 approaching the intersection with Georgia Highway 129 in Evans County.
