Georgia's four-year high school graduation rate rose for the class of 2013 compared to their peers in the 2012 class, but local rates generally fell, according to data released Wednesday. The only exception to the negative trend locally was Portal Middle High School, which saw its four-year graduation rate jump from 62.3 percent for 2012 graduates to 76.7 percent in the class of 2013. Despite the downward trend this year, local schools still generally outperformed the state.
