More than $1,660 worth of raffle tickets were sold to support the Bulloch County chapter of the Ferst Foundation, an organization that mails new books free of charge to children from birth until 5 years of age. Hundreds of children in Bulloch County will continue to receive a monthly book in the mail thanks to the efforts of an all-volunteer community action team, or CAT, and a supportive community. The raffle's winning prize, a three-night stay at a Myrtle Beach condo, was awarded to Lisa Davis from Statesboro.
