On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I wish to congratulate Statesboro attorney Francys Johnson Jr. on his recent election as the new president of the Georgia State Conference of the NAACP.
Mr. Johnson will be well served in this leadership role by his educational background and experience in the legal profession. He has previously served as the Southeast regional director of the national NAACP and as executive director of the Georgia state conference.
Francys Johnson's acceptance of this position of statewide responsibility further demonstrates his commitment to the public service responsibilities of State Bar members, which in turn helps uphold the rule of law and the constitutional values of our state.
