Editor: What began as a brother's and sister-in-law's love for his sister after she received a diagnosis of cancer became a wonderful effort by friends, family and community. So often, we only see headlines of bad things happening around us, but our family wanted to let folks know they are beautiful spirited people who are willing to lend an extended hand to help and we humbly wanted to say a very special, huge "thank you" to everyone who helped with the chicken dinner benefit for Stephanie Mascarello Deloach on Aug. 30. We are so grateful to the ones who showed up at 4:30 in the morning to begin cooking chicken and also to all who came later to help prepare plates.
