A heartfelt thank you from Lane Enterprises

On December 25, 2010, from noon until 2 p.m., Lane Enterprises hosted a Christmas luncheon for the senior citizens. They were given the opportunity to enjoy a hot lunch and a gift bag was also given to each person.
This year, not only were the homebound fed, but the invitation was extended to anyone in need.
Thanks to tradition, Dr. Van Tassell and his family came and helped deliver meals to seniors on the homebound list.
The people who stopped by to get a plate were very appreciative. They could hardly believe someone would be so kind as to give up their time on Christmas Day to help people they did not know.
They may not have had this experience had it not been for the charitable contributions made by the caring businesses and people of Statesboro
A mighty thanks to the Boys and Girls Club, Concerted Services, Statesboro-Bulloch County Parks & Recreation Department, Farmers & Merchants Bank, the board of education, Dr. Van Tassell and family, the Portal Girls Basketball Team, Theresa Jackson, Elrico L. Rackard, Truthful Mason Lodge #375, Bill Green, Bobby White and Mamie Polk.
Thank you all for your charitable donations.
