Four juveniles caught breaking into cars on Broad Street Thursday were arrested on several charges, including participation in gang activity.Statesboro police responded to a call about suspicious persons inside a vehicle around 3:30 a.m. Thursday, but the suspects fled on foot, said Statesboro police Maj. Rob Bryan.Officers located three of the juveniles — two males and a female — “at various locations nearby,” Bryan said.The case was turned over to Detective Scott Brunson, who conducted further investigation that led to multiple charges for each, Bryan said. A fourth suspect, a juvenile male, turned himself in to the Department of Juvenile Justice later Thursday.A 15-year-old female with a College Lane address, a 14-year-old male with an East Jones Avenue address and two 15-year-old males listed as living on Cone Street each were charged with entering auto, criminal street gang activity, loitering/prowling and curfew violation.Anyone with information concerning this case is asked to contact the Statesboro Police Department at (912) 764-9911Anonymous tips may also be sent by text.
