Guardrail work scheduled in Bulloch, other counties

Starting Tuesday and running through Friday, Georgia Department of Transportation work crews will perform emergency guardrail repair. The work zones are scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, weather permitting. They will be in the following locations: Bulloch County — Interstate 16 eastbound at mile marker 114.2 (closed shoulder) and Georgia Highway 119 northbound at I-16 (closed shoulder) Charlton County — Georgia Highway 4 northbound at mile marker 7.2 north of Folkston (lane closure) Chatham County — Interstate 516 eastbound at Veterans Parkway (closed shoulder); I-516 westbound at Exit 2 off-ramp (narrow ramp); I-16 eastbound at Exit 160 Dean Forest Road off-ramp (narrow ramp) and Georgia Highway 80 westbound at mile marker 11.05 near Junction Avenue (closed shoulder) Liberty County — Georgia Highway 25 southbound at Georgia Highway 196 (closed shoulder) Crews will work in half-mile increments and relocate frequently.
