Georgia Southern University President Dr. Brooks Keel makes remarks after Director Dr. Brent Tharp announced the American Association of Museums had reaccredited the Georgia Southern Museum. Tharp made the announcement during a celebration Monday at the museum, which also happened to be the 29th anniversary of the museum's opening in 1982. All museums must go through reaccreditation approximately every 10 years and only 13 other museums in Georgia are accredited.
