A giving spirit - that best describes Manzy Brown. He is the one of the first to respond when there is a need in the Stilson and Brooklet areas, providing the physical labor needed to do the kinds of things people sometimes cannot do for themselves. Manzy has a special love for children - often providing clothing and toys for children of families in need. When a neighbor's road was washed away making it difficult for family and friends to visit the man who was losing his battle with cancer, Manzy repaired the road at no charge. At Thanksgiving, Manzy and his wife cook for days and invite a large part of the community - especially those without family in the area - and even offers to pickup those who don't drive so that they can enjoy a bountiful Thanksgiving. At Christmas, Manzy plays Santa delivering groceries to families in need.
