Georgia State Patrol Incidents
     Incidents occurring  Friday and Saturday will be published Monday.
    BULLOCH COUNTY — During the month of October, Georgia State Patrol troopers from Post 45 in Statesboro investigated 112 crashes resulting in 43 injuries, said Post Commander Sgt. First-Class C. Wright.
    Post 45 troopers also issued 363 traffic citations that month, including 23 DUI arrests, 170 speeding tickets, 35 seat belt violations and four child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 409 warnings, he said.
    CANDLER COUNTY — During the month of October, Georgia State Patrol troopers from Post 45 in Statesboro investigated 21 crashes resulting in nine injuries and one fatality, said Post Commander Sgt. First-Class C. Wright.
    Post 45 troopers also issued 183 traffic citations that month, including 15 DUI arrests, 65 speeding tickets, 12 seat belt violations and two child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 90 warnings, he said.
    EVANS COUNTY — During the month of October, Georgia State Patrol troopers from Post 45 in Statesboro investigated 12 crashes resulting in six injuries and three fatalities, said Post Commander Sgt. First-Class C. Wright.
    Post 45 troopers also issued 90 traffic citations that month, including three DUI arrests, 42 speeding tickets, 19 seat belt violations and one child restraint violation. Troopers also issued 137 warnings, he said.

Animal Shelter Reports
    The Statesboro-Bulloch County Animal Shelter reported the following activity for the week of Oct. 22-28:
    Animals received:
    Rural county areas, Bulloch Humane Enforcement — Seventeen dogs and three cats.
    Statesboro city limits, Bulloch Humane Enforcement — four dogs and a cat.
    Abandoned at shelter — five dogs and three cats.
    Surrendered by citizens — six dogs and six cats.
    Number in litters surrendered — three puppies and 10 kittens.
    Animals out:
    Shelter adoptions — seven dogs and five cats.
    Humane Society adoptions — one cat.
    Pets & People adoptions — two dogs and three cats.
    Returned to owners — two dogs.
    Died at shelter — one dog.
    Euthanized  — twenty-one dogs and 16 cats, one cat from adoption floor.
    Humane Enforcement calls:
    Deer complaints — two.
    Court summons/citations — two.
    Warnings — nine.
    Money collected:
    Adoption fees — $585.
    Surrender fees — $40.
    Returned animal fines — $50.
    Donations — $4.
