Statesboro Police Arrests
    Arrests made Friday and Saturday will be published Monday.
    
Bulloch Sheriff's Arrests
    Arrests made over the weekend will be published Tuesday.

    Arrests made Friday and Saturday will be published Monday.
    
Georgia Southern University Arrests

     Incidents occurring  Friday and Saturday will be published Monday.     
        
Bulloch Sheriff's Incidents
     OLD RIVER ROAD SOUTH — (Brooklet) A man reported hearing gunshots in the area.
    OLD DILL ROAD — (Portal) A woman said she was at the windmill at the intersection of Rocky Ford Road, arguing with a man who struck her in the face and neck.
    GA. 24 — (Statesboro) Deputies met a man at the hospital who suffered from numerous minor abrasions to his face. He told  them he did not know what happened to him, where it happened or who did it.
    THOMPKIN DRIVE — (Statesboro) A woman said a man called her several times to harass her.
    GA. 119 CONNECTOR — (Ellabell)  A man told deputies a woman came to his home and removed several items including car keys. He said he lives there as well, so deputies referred the complainant to magistrate court.
    PRETORIA RUSHING ROAD — (Statesboro) A woman said she hired a man to shingle her roof and paid him with a personal check. He came to her and said the check bounced, so she paid him again with a cashier's check. She later got a call from a check cashing service in Savannah, where the man had cashed her personal check as well. She said the man also did not provide her with a warranty as promised.
    HIGHTOWER ROAD — (Statesboro) A man told deputies an employee quit and refused to return a 2003 Kenworth Tractor truck. The offender told deputies the truck's owner still owed him money and could have his truck back when he was paid. Deputies convinced him to return the truck and seek magistrate assistance regarding the money owed.
    BANKS DAIRY ROAD — (Portal) A man said his car was taken from his yard by the man from whom he bought it. He said the offender kicked in his door and moved his other  truck to retrieve the vehicle, all while the complainant was in  the shower.

Animal Shelter Reports
    The Statesboro-Bulloch County Animal Shelter reported the following activity for the week of Dec. 24-31:
    Animals received:
    Rural county areas, Bulloch Humane Enforcement — six dogs.
    Statesboro city limits, Bulloch Humane Enforcement — two dogs and a cat.
    Abandoned at shelter — one dog.
    Surrendered by citizens — eight dogs and six cats.
    Number in litters surrendered — six puppies and three kittens.
    Animals out:
    Shelter adoptions — two dogs and five cats.
    Humane Society adoptions — one cat.
    Pets & People adoptions — two dogs and one cat.
    Humane Society adoptions — 13 dogs.
    Died at shelter — one dog.
    Euthanized  from isolation floor — three dogs and 12 cats.
    Euthanized from adoption floor — one dog.
    Humane Enforcement calls:
    Horse complaints — one.
    Owl complaints — one.
    Ferret complaint — one.
    Court summons/citations — five.
    Warnings — 13.
    Money collected:
    Adoption fees — $105.
    Surrender fees — 90.
