    Keith M. Shorts, 38, Scott Circle, East Point — DUI (refused test).
    Troopers issued eight traffic violation citations Wednesday.

Bulloch Sheriff's Incidents    
    SURREY LANE — (Statesboro) A man said someone entered his truck and took $10 and a portable GPS unit.
    Another man on the same street reported someone took a satellite radio receiver from his vehicle.
    HACKER'S GOLF PARK — (Statesboro) A man said someone damaged a mail box.
    WEST RUSHING ROAD — (Register)  A woman told deputies she argued with her step son and did not want him back at the residence.
    ARTHUR NUBERN ROAD — (Pembroke) A man said he came home and caught a man in an older model light blue Crown Victoria    digging through his mail box. The man fled when spotted. The car had no tag and deputies responding to the area did not find the suspect.
    WILLIAMS LANE — (Statesboro) A man told deputies someone took three junk cars from his property which he has not visited in a year.
    TRAPNELL DODGE — (Statesboro) A man said someone stole four tires and wheels off a Dodge Neon over the holidays. The offender placed the car on cement blocks after taking the wheels, the complainant said.
    JOSEPH'S HOME FOR BOYS — (Statesboro) A  man said an offender knocked over a chair and poured a can of popcorn in his room, then picked up a ladder in a threatening manner when told to clean it up.
    OLLIFF HILL ROAD — (Statesboro) A man said he was "hanging out" at another man's home when he made a joke the other man did not like. He left, but the other man keeps calling him threatening to physically attack him.
    CODY'S GARAGE — (Statesboro) A man said someone broke his car window and took a CD player.
    BROOKWOOD DRIVE — (Statesboro) A man reported the theft of a portable stereo with headphones from his vehicle.
    OAK HILL MOBILE HOME PARK — (Clito) A woman told deputies someone shattered the glass in her vehicle.
    HIGHTOWER ROAD — (Statesboro) A woman said someone took her wallet from her vehicle. She found the wallet later, minus $48 cash, a driver's license and Social Security card.
                                                 
Georgia State Patrol Incidents    
    Troopers issued four warnings, assisted two motorists, and investigated one crash with one reported injury     Wednesday.
    BULLOCH COUNTY — In 2007, troopers from Georgia State Patrol Post 45 investigated 905 traffic crashes, resulting in 625 injuries and 19 traffic deaths, said Post Commander Sgt. First-Class J. Lamb.
    During 2007, Post 45 troopers also issued 4,384 traffic violation citations, including 204 DUI arrests, 2,229 speeding citations, 557 tickets for not wearing seat bets, and 42 child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 5,321 warnings last year.
    CANDLER COUNTY — In 2007, troopers from Georgia State Patrol Post 45 investigated 171 traffic crashes, resulting in 150 injuries and eight traffic deaths, said Post Commander Sgt. First-Class J. Lamb.
    During 2007, Post 45 troopers also issued 1,817 traffic violation citations, including 106 DUI arrests, 917 speeding citations, 164 tickets for not wearing seat bets, and 16 child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 1,391 warnings last year.
    EVANS COUNTY — In 2007, troopers from Georgia State Patrol Post 45 investigated 84 traffic crashes, resulting in 85 injuries and nine traffic deaths, said Post Commander Sgt. First-Class J. Lamb.
    During 2007, Post 45 troopers also issued 1,160 traffic violation citations, including 35 DUI arrests, 455 speeding citations, 293 tickets for not wearing seat bets, and 34 child restraint violations. Troopers also issued 1,563 warnings last year.
    
Georgia Southern University Incidents
    JOHNSON HALL — Someone reported a window was damaged.
         UNDISCLOSED LOCATION — Two juveniles were charged with obstruction of an officer.
    Officers issued one traffic warning Wednesday.
