Animal Shelter Reports
    The Statesboro-Bulloch County Animal Shelter reported the following activity for the week of Oct. 22-28:
    Animals received:
    • Rural county areas, Bulloch Humane Enforcement — 10 dogs and two cats.
    • Statesboro city limits, Bulloch Humane Enforcement — three dogs.
    • Surrendered by citizens — four dogs and five cats.
    • Number in litters surrendered — 10 puppies and four kittens.
    Animals out:
    • Shelter adoptions — five dogs and a cat.
    • Pets & People adoptions — three dogs and three cats.
    • Returned to owners — four dogs.
    • Euthanized  — 13 dogs and eight cats.
    Humane Enforcement calls:
    • Hog complaints — one.
    • Court summons/citations — 20.
    • Warnings — 14.
    Money collected:
    • Adoption fees — $420.
    • Surrender fees — $20.
    • Returned animal fines — $100.
    • Miscellaneous — $22.
