VETERAN'S MEMORIAL PARKWAY/BRAMPTON AVENUE — A witness who saw a hit and run accident followed the offender, called police, and stayed at the location until police arrived and charged the driver who fled the scene.
PARK PLACE APARTMENTS — A ma reported the theft of a black 2006 Yamaha motorcycle.
WILLINGWAY — A man was found with marijuana, rolling papers and a glass smoking pipe.
GM AUTO BROKERS/U.S. 80 EAST — A T. Perkins Road man told police a known suspect stole his checks and forged one to purchase a vehicle.
WAL-MART — A woman was charged with shoplifting $26 worth of clothing, consumables and other items.
EAST GRADY/DONALDSON STREETS — A woman said a known offender took two Social Security cards.

COUNTRY CLUB ROAD — (Statesboro) A deputy observed a car stopped in the middle of the road, the take off erratically until it entered a business, running over landscaping and coming to a stop. As he approached, a "very small juvenile" exited the driver's seat. A grown woman was in the back seat, and told the deputies she felt ill and allowed the juvenile to drive. But the nine-year-old told the deputy the woman "got scared and pulled him into the driver's seat while she jumped in the back seat." The woman was arrested on a wide variety of charges including child restraint violations, failure to maintain lane, driving with a suspended license, reckless driving, allowing an unauthorized minor to drive, and obstruction.
EAST GEORGIA REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER — (Statesboro) An inmate being treated at the hospital was unruly, refused to lie down and be checked out, and spat into a deputy's face before being restrained.
U.S. 301 SOUTH — (Statesboro) A deputy stopped a woman speeding and driving erratically. He smelled the odor of alcohol, and the woman had candy as well as pennies in her mouth, which he made her spit out. The woman refused to remove hands from her pockets and resisted as she was hand cuffed. Deputies found two empty wine bottles and a half-full wine bottle in her glove compartment and she was found to be intoxicated.
SWALLOWTAIL DRIVE — (Statesboro) A man told deputies someone stole a green Fisher Price electric Power Wheel four wheeler from his home.
GA. 67 — (Brooklet) A woman found a loaded .380 caliber pistol and a magazine with two bullets in her yard, and turned them over to deputies.
SHADOW LANE — (Statesboro) A man told deputies someone was t trying to kill him. He rides his bike on a trail between two roads which he has permission to use. Someone strung a thin piece of wire across the trail, connecting two trees, and the complainant ran into the wire with his neck as he rode his bike.
