Statesboro Police Incidents
FLASH FOODS 251 – A store employee reported a man and a woman were having a verbal dispute in a car in the parking lot. Officers arrived, talked to both parties, and saw no visible signs of injuries.
COLLEGE WALK APARTMENTS – Officers responded to a report of a fire in some pine straw near an apartment building. A pine tree next to a building had caught on a fire. The fire department arrived and extinguished the fire. The damage done to the building was unknown.
WOODLANDS APARTMENTS – A security officer at the apartment complex reported a suspicious person. Officers located the man, and later charged him with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute; possession of a controlled substance (steroids); possession of a drug related object and possession of a weapon during the commission of a crime.
COLLEGE BOULEVARD – Officers responded to a man reporting that a vehicle in his driveway had been entered and a purse, a Palm Pilot, and $180 were missing. The vehicle showed no signs of forced entry.
WEST JONES STREET – Officers made a traffic stop after seeing a vehicle with a tag violation. The woman driving the car was arrested for DUI and the male passenger was cited for an open container.
STATESBORO RENT-A-CAR – The manager of the business reported that a female customer had returned a car late and owed the business $286.30.
CHANDLER ROAD – Officers saw a car abandoned in the road and were unable to locate the owner of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed.
PEACHTREE STREET – A man reported that he was physically attacked by another man, but officers saw no visible injuries.
OLD REGISTER ROAD - Officers responded to man saying he had a tried to break up a fight between two friends and an unknown person had hit him on the back of his head. When officers met with the man at East Georgia Regional Medical Center, the man had a cut on the back of his head and marks on his back that he said were a result of the assault.
PARK AVENUE – A man reported that a suspicious person was shining lights into his bedroom window. Officers investigated the area, and were unable to locate the culprit.
UNIVERSITY PINES APARTMENTS – Officers observed a woman walking in the parking lot of the apartment complex holding an open can of beer. The woman was cited for underage possession of alcohol.
OAK STREET – A man reported that two bicycles were stolen from his back porch.
WACHOVIA ATM, FAIR ROAD – Officers responded to the location when the alarm on the machine were off. The officers reported the ATM machine appeared to be secure, and they were unable to contact a machine key holder.
BEADOTS WAY – A man reported that a woman had kicked his vehicle, leaving a shoe print on the front fender of the car.
SOUTH MAIN STREET – Officers responded to a woman reporting that she had received approximately 100 phone calls and 40 e-mails from her ex-boyfriend. The woman reported the man had threatened to harm her and that he would "have her taken care of."
FINCH MOBILE HOME PARK – A man reported that three men were at his door and when he opened the door, one of the men shot him in the leg. After he was taken to the hospital, the emergency room doctors said the bullet went straight through his calf, resulting in only minor damage.

BROOKLET LEEFIELD ROAD – (Statesboro) Deputies responded to a woman reporting that someone had turned her lawn mower over and damaged the steering column.
HWY. 301 SOUTH – (Register) Deputies were dispatched to Po Joe's Restaurant after a woman reported her ex-boyfriend had come into the store and was harassing her.
CYPRESS LAKE MOBILE HOME PARK – (Statesboro) A woman reported that she had a verbal altercation with another resident. The woman told deputies that the offender tried to reach into her vehicle, damaging it. She said the argument was over a broken air conditioner unit and leaking toilet that had not been fixed.
KENDRICKS ROAD – (Brooklet) Deputies responded to a woman reporting that her juvenile son had left the residence without permission after he was sent to his room as punishment. The woman told deputies she believed that her son had gone to a friend's house, but she did not know where the friend lived, or his last name.
LANGSTON CHAPEL ELEMENTARY – (Statesboro) Deputies met with a school official in response to an unruly juvenile. She reported that the juvenile had gotten into a physical fight with a juvenile victim and the victim had visible swelling on his head.
TROY POLK ROAD – (Portal) A woman reported a burglary at her residence. Deputies saw that the door had been kicked in. A television, a VCR, an asthma breathing kit, and a brown pit bull were reported missing from the residence.
CEDARWOOD MOBILE HOME PARK – (Statesboro) Deputies responded to a call from a man reporting theft of services. The landlord reported that a tenant had been tampering with a meter box and had damaged the meter boxes in the process.
FOSTER WILLIAMS ROAD – (Statesboro) A woman reported a domestic dispute between her and the male owner of the residence. When deputies responded, both parties said the altercation was verbal. The woman, who did not live at the residence, said the man was intoxicated when the argument began. The woman left the residence.
