Statesboro Police Arrests    
     Brandon Terrell Williams, 22, Hidden Hill Spur — second offense DUI, second offense driving with a suspended or revoked license, marijuana possession.
    Mandy Lavon Bryant, 20, Allenwood Road, Fayetteville — obstruction, underage possession of alcohol, possession of fraudulent license.
    Bobby Ellis Dickerson, 53, Old River Road — criminal trespass.
    Alex Lamar Hagins, 35, Foxridge Apartments — wanted person, marijuana possession.
    Nicole Margaret Chabra, 21, Campus Club Apartments — DUI.
    Monkega Renae Stateson, 33, Stadium Walk Apartments — wanted person.
    Henry Johnston McCormick, 59, Pike Road — DUI, failure to maintain lane.
    Arquelia Gillespie, 20, Eagle Landings — aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Statesboro Police Incidents   
    CAMBRIDGE APARTMENTS — A man said his ex-girlfriend and her parents entered his home and took a surround sound system that had been a birthday gift.
    COLLEGE LANE — Police arrested an adult and a juvenile selling crack cocaine.
    WEST JONES AVENUE — Police arrested two for crack cocaine possession.
    MORRIS HEIGHTS — A woman reported someone placed feces on her vehicle.
    VARSITY LODGE  — A man told police his mother's boyfriend slapped him.
    CAMPUS CLUB APARTMENTS — A man said someone took his golf clubs, shoes and jerseys from his vehicle.
    RUM RUNNERS — A female was charged with underage possession of alcohol.
    EASTVIEW APARTMENTS — A woman said a man slapped her, threw her against a wall, held her down and choked her.
    HUDDLE HOUSE — A man entered the restaurant with a German Shepherd and was told to leave. He refused, flashing a badge, stating he was a police officer. He left without incident after he finished his meal.
                    
Bulloch Sheriff's Incidents   
    BIRD ROAD — (Statesboro) A deputy who took a juvenile into custody on an unrelated matter went into his home to notify his brother what was happening, and found "a door filled with knife holes that would not lock, clothing all over the floor,     a cooler filled with mold and roaches ... a kitchen counter filled with dirty dishes and spoiled food ... roaches and maggots ..." The deputy reported the juvenile's bed was simply a wooden board with a blanket, and stated in reports there was no edible food, soap or toilet paper in the home.    The deputy called the Department of Family and Children Services and the juvenile's mother was arrested.
    GA. 46 — (Brooklet) A man called deputies when he realized his brother's home had been burglarized. The home had been broken into, but nothing was reported missing.
    BURKHALTER MOBILE HOME PARK — (Statesboro) A woman said a juvenile offender constantly hits her son and she wants it to stop.
     BILLY MIKELL ROAD — (Statesboro) A woman said she came home from picking up her youngest child and saw the father of her children at her home taking to her 12-year-old daughter. When she asked why he was there, he approached her in a threatening manner using profanity. The man later contacted deputies and told them he was concerned about her being left alone for a long period of time.
    
Georgia State Patrol Incidents   
    Troopers issued 19 warnings, assisted two motorists, and investigated four crashes with one injury Monday.
    Troopers investigated a crash Sunday that resulted in a fatality.
    
Georgia Southern University Incidents
    RUSSELL UNION — Someone said a student I.D. card was taken from the facility.
         OLLIFF HALL — Someone reported a vending machine was damaged.
         SOUTHERN PINES APARTMENTS — Someone reported several articles of clothing were taken from the  laundry room.
         Officers issued three traffic warnings, assisted six motorists
 and responded to one fire alarm Monday.
   
Animal Shelter Reports
    During the week of Oct. 1-8, the Statesboro-Bulloch County Animal Shelter received the following animals: one cat abandoned at the shelter; 10 dogs and a cat surrendered by citizens; four litters totaling 22 puppies; 21 dogs and a cat brought in by Bulloch Humane Enforcement; eight dogs brought in by Statesboro Animal Control, a dog brought in by Portal officials and a cat brought in by Brooklet officials.
    Bulloch Humane Enforcement officers Joey Sanders and Christopher Ivey responded to several calls, including two about deer problems, as well as issued 11 citations and seven warnings for offenses including nuisance animal and cruelty.
    The shelter found homes through adoption for 10 dogs. Pets and People pet shop held an adoption event that found a home for a cat. Ten dogs and 11 cats were taken in by foster or rescue groups to avoid euthanasia. Five dogs were returned to owners, and three cats died at the shelter. Fourteen dogs and 53 cats were euthanized.
    The shelter collected $385 in adoption fees, $70 in surrender fees; $100 in fines for returning animals to owners, $20 in donations and $65 in miscellaneous fees.
