Statesboro City Council will hold its annual budget “retreat,” to hear requests from departments and funded agencies and projections from the city manager and finance director Friday beginning at 8:30 a.m. Another special meeting is slated for 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, but on a different subject, potential changes to the Alcoholic Beverages Ordinance. That session will be followed by the council’s second regular meeting of April at 5:30 p.m. Both special sessions are open to the public. Friday retreat As has been the practice for several years, the council will retreat no further Friday than its chambers at City Hall, where the work session on the budget can last much of the day.
