Georgia Southern’s ROTC commander Lt. Col. George Fredrick led a two-centuries old tradition Monday with the observance of the Army's birthday. According to tradition, the first pieces of cake were given to the oldest veteran and the youngest cadet attending the ceremony. The observance was held inside Georgia Southern’s Student Union.
